Strategic Consolidation in the Student Mobility Sector
B2B international student recruitment platform Crizac has announced a strategic investment of Rs 1.25 crore in ForeignAdmits, acquiring a 37.41% stake in the company. The transaction, executed through a combination of Compulsorily Convertible Debentures (CCDs) and Compulsorily Convertible Preference Shares (CCPS), marks a significant step toward vertical integration in the overseas education market.
Synergizing Tech and Recruitment
By integrating ForeignAdmits, Crizac gains access to a robust proprietary technology stack, most notably:
- LoanMonk: A pre-admission loan eligibility engine that has processed over 80,000 assessments via 17+ lending partners.
- VisaMonk: An AI-powered visa interview simulation tool used by over 3,000 students globally.
The combined entity aims to offer a holistic journey for students, spanning university discovery, education financing, and visa documentation.
Leadership Integration
As part of the acquisition, ForeignAdmits founder and CEO Nikhil Jain will join Crizac as Chief Product and Marketing Officer. He will lead the consumer-facing brand strategy, ensuring the technology developed at ForeignAdmits is scaled across Crizac’s existing network of 400+ institutions.
Market Context
ForeignAdmits has established a strong operational footprint, having assisted over 100,000 students across 15 countries and facilitating more than Rs 1,500 crore in education loans. For Crizac, which focuses on connecting agents with universities, this move effectively turns a B2B service into a comprehensive, tech-enabled mobility ecosystem.
